Editorial, Review & Corrections Policy

This policy explains how calculator logic and supporting content move from official source to published page, and how mistakes are handled.

Last updated: 22 August 2026

Primary-source research

TaxCalci prioritises legislation, Income Tax Department material, RBI guidance, regulator publications, and other first-party sources. Pages identify the applicable Tax Year and link the represented provisions where available.

Testing and internal review

Calculators use deterministic formulas, automated tests, boundary cases, and disclosed assumptions. Review attribution means an internal technical and statutory-source check unless a separately identified, authorised professional reviewer is named.

Updates and corrections

Material rule changes are dated and tested before publication. When a factual or calculation error is confirmed, the formula, explanation, citation, affected examples, and related pages are reviewed together and corrected promptly.

Independence and limitations

Search demand may inform which questions are answered, but it does not determine a tax conclusion. Advertising and affiliate arrangements do not change formulas. TaxCalci does not imply a CA, legal, government, or regulator endorsement that has not been expressly authorised.

Report a possible error

When reporting a problem, include the page URL, Tax Year, input steps, observed result, expected result, and the official source supporting the correction. Do not send PAN, bank details, account numbers, or private financial records. Send the report through the contact and corrections page.

See the calculation methodology, tax-rule register, and professional-advice disclaimer.
