Confirm the taxable gain and withholding position with the buyer, bank and a cross-border tax adviser before completion.

For remittances on or after 1 April 2026, review Forms 145 and 146 under the Income-tax Rules, 2026 (the successors to legacy Forms 15CA and 15CB). The required part and certificate depend on chargeability and amount.

Provide the authorised dealer with the source-of-funds, tax-payment and property documents it requests for the NRO remittance.

The modelled net proceeds are within the USD 1 million NRO remittance facility, subject to the authorised dealer’s document review.

Withholding is modelled on gross consideration using the rate you entered. Actual Section 393/legacy Section 195 withholding can depend on the sum chargeable, surcharge, PAN and a lower/nil deduction certificate. The gain estimate uses the purchase price, eligible improvement cost and transfer expenses you entered. It still excludes exemptions, loss set-off, valuation substitutions, treaty positions and any tax-cost issue not represented by those fields.
